RITC Friendship 729 Battle Taichi 39/37
The legendary Battle series, long admired for its raw pop, tacky spin, and reliable control, gets reborn with Battle Taichi.
For players who’ve relied on Battle II and Battle III for forehand power loops, Battle Taichi introduces a dual-layer 37/39 degree sponge that fuses softness and hardness in one rubber. You get vivid spin and explosive shots like in the originals, but with added versatility — soft-touch short play, crisp attack strokes, and better control when switching paces.
Blue rubber has a blue sponge and is packed into a blue-style package.
Red rubber has a red sponge and is packed into a red-style package. First number = outer sponge layer (closer to the topsheet) Second number = inner sponge layer (closer to the blade)
39/37 → harder outer layer (39°) + softer inner layer (37°).
Feel: The ball contacts the harder sponge first, giving a crisper, more direct response, good for drives and blocking. The softer inner layer still adds dwell time when you hit through, helping with spin.
37/39 → softer outer layer (37°) + harder inner layer (39°). Feel: Softer touch on the surface, which improves control in short play, flicks, and opening loops.
The harder inner layer kicks in on strong shots, adding more power and stability when you engage the sponge fully.
